Jenna Fischer is best known for her character Pam Beesly on the acclaimed television show The Office, for which she received the Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actress as well as Two SAG Awards for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble Comedy.
The girl was born in Fort Wayne Indiana, she lived her entire childhood at St. Louis Missouri. Jenna watched as her mother Anne took part in plays at church. She was awed by performance and theater was instilled at a very young girl.
She's a trained actress who was back in theater following The Office. She starred in the Off-Broadway production Reasons to be Happy that was directed and written by Neil LaBute and co-starring Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb, and Fred Weller. In Steve Martin's latest production Meteor Shower (an absurdist comedy co-written by Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg), she performed in the record-breaking Old Globe Theatre's world premiere.
The Office co-star Angela Kinsey and Fischer have launched Office Ladies, a podcast that airs on Earwolf in October 2019. The podcast has been a huge success, reaching its Top Ten worldwide every week with more than 200 million downloads within the first two years. Office Ladies received the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year Award in January 2021.
The Actor's Life was her first book, which chronicles the road she took to get from St. Louis, Missouri to Hollywood and then to Hollywood, where she was an actor professionally. The second book, Office BFF's (co-authored by Angela Kinsey) is a memoir of her most beloved friend and their experience working at The Office.
